Source Water Protection

Collection of materials about protecting drinking water sources

The protection of drinking water sources is the first of the multi-barrier approaches recommended by Mr. Justice O'Connor in his Walkerton Inquiry recommendations. The Ontario government commitments to implement all of the Inquiry recommendations remain unfulfilled until the legislative and policy regime for source protection is developed and implemented. CELA has remained heavily involved, since the Walkerton Inquiry, in ensuring all of the Inquiry recommendations are implemented.

The linked files below provide a comprehensive list of CELA's detailed and summary publications and any related media releases on this topic. Additional recent materials are contained in a related collection entitled Source Protection Reports: ENGO Briefing and Assessment which includes presentations and meetings notes for the January, 2005 ENGO forum.
