Making the Links: Environmental Health, Equity, and Law in Hamilton

Collection of on-line resources for community members in Hamilton

The Making the Links Project is being undertaken by CELA and the Environmental Health Institute of Canada (EHIC) with funding from the Law Foundation of Ontario. The Project is broadly aimed at enabling and empowering communities to reduce environmental inequities. The project is currently underway in six Ontario communities, including Hamilton.

Through consultation with the community, a number of environmental health and equity issues in Hamilton were brought to our attention. These include concerns about industiral air emissions, water quality, food security, scrapyards, brownfields, toxics, and indoor air quality.

The linked files in this collection provide a toolkit, publications and information that may be of use for community members, service providers, and others in Hamilton as they tackle the issue of environmental equity.
